Family discovering a Bernie Bee Trail sign in a park

What Is The Bernie Bee Trail?

The Bernie Bee Trail is a British-made, low-maintenance family trail that brings communities together around bee conservation, outdoor learning, inclusivity and biodiversity.

The trail begins with a Bernie Bee welcome sign inviting visitors to help him find his five bee friends around the park. Families then walk the route spotting the five wooden bee-shaped trail markers, each one also doubling as a real solitary bee hotel.

At every stop, visitors discover a different solitary bee species through an educational sign packed with fun facts, conservation information, and a QR code linking to further learning and optional read-aloud audio. This makes the trail more accessible and inclusive for visually impaired visitors, SEN learners, EAL families, and younger children.
